Director of Strategic Financial Planning and Resource Management (Internal Search Only)

The Director serves at the intersection of strategic planning, budget development and allocation, financial policy implementation and oversight, and annual assessment of progress toward objectives. As such, the Director is responsible for a broad range of senior financial planning and strategic management support to the Office of the Vice President for Research. The position reports to the Vice President for Research and serves as a member of the VPR’s Management Team. The Director may be called upon to represent the VPR on University committees including the College Administrative Advisory Group, Physical Development Committee, and others recurring and ad hoc as assigned.

Senior Research Administrator – Sponsored Programs

Sponsored Programs is the primary coordinating office for externally funded activities of a contractual nature at CSU SP oversees the full-range of research administration from proposal review and submission to final invoicing and close-out. The Senior Research Administrator serves as an advocate for faculty in fostering outstanding research and scholarly activities at CSU and assure the responsible management of sponsored funds through regulatory and fiscal compliance oversight.

Directorof Sponsored Programs

Sponsored Programs provides a full range of pre- and post-award services to principal investigators, the campus and external sponsors, including funding resources information, proposal submission and award negotiation, material transfer and non disclosure agreements, financial management of accounts, database management, and implementation of electronic research administration.

The Director of Sponsored Programs reports to the Associate Vice President for Research and is responsible for a staff of 26 FTE including Administrative Professional and State Classified positions.
